Cleveland as I left for England via Toronto |
My Holiday In England September 2003The reason for the timing of my holiday in England was
the due date of Michael. I'd have gone nuts if I had to leave England
before he was born. As it happens, Michael arrived a week before I did

Eileen was supposed to pick me up from Manchester Airport but she had pulled a muscle in her arm and couldn't drive, so Margaret came to get me. There was construction work going on at Terminal 1 and the way was not very well sign posted (that's her excuse and she is sticking to it) So I arrived before she did. With her was Jenny, Emma and Stephen
Margaret had parked the car and the kids were walking to where I was. When they eventually saw me, Stephen started running like crazy, he was so intent in getting to me that he never saw the bus that nearly ran him down. He was getting closer and closer, running faster and faster, he was not slowing down any so I braced myself for the inevitable impact. To do this, I had to let go of the cart that I had my luggage on and that went rolling over the road while we were all hugging. Then we couldn't find our way to where in the multi storey car park Margaret was and none of us had her Cell Phone number, so we had to call Eileen to call Margaret to tell her where we were so she could come get us.

We went straight to Jenny and Mark's place, so I could
meet my first grandchild. Holding Michael for the first time was
absolutely wonderful

I stayed with Eileen and Paul. Because of her sore arm,
Eileen was going to be off work for the next couple of weeks and because
she couldn't drive, she told me that I could have the use of her car
Eileen and Paul also let me use their Camcorder
EILEEN and PAUL - THANKYOU FOR EVERYTHING
