
Inside The Golden CanyonOutside, (in Death Valley) even with the wind, the temp was in the high 90's (35+ c) Inside the Golden Canyon the hot air just seems to hang there, breathing is difficult as you feel your body temperature rise. It must have been at last 120f (48c)
In this picture, the light (Golden) rocks are sedimentary rocks that at one time were the bottom of an ancient Sea. In the background the Cathedral (red) rock is also sedimentary rock from an even more ancient sea. |
