This part of my journey was all about extremes from the hot and humid depth of the San Joaquin Valley I went to the snow covered heights of Mammoth Mountain. From there I would go to one of the lowest and hottest places on the planet, Death Valley.

Mammoth Mountain is a ski resort in the California Sierra Nevada Mountains. At this time of year there wasn't much skiing going on but there was still snow on the mountain top and that is where I headed. From the ever rising cable car the views became more and more spectacular.
