Getting here was not too bad although the trail bends and twists along the way hiking downhill it was relatively easy. If you have looked at the pictures before this one you will have seen that the temperature was already 100f (37.7c). I had planned to hike from here to the river but from this point it was going to be another 3-4 miles, the distance was no problem the thing that worried me was the heat and the thought of adding another 3 miles or so to the climb out of the canyon, so I decided to go straight from here back up the Bright Angel Trail and out.
