Looking out toward the Conneaut
Lighthouse on Lake Erie.
No.... It is not a nice white
sand tropical beach, it's snow and as you can see from the color of the
sky, there is plenty more on the way. Mary Jo had to go back to the car
as I wandered around to take these pictures, the wind was so cold.
Here, we get what is called
"Lake Effect Snow" The warmer water of the lake evaporates,
then as the moister moves inland it hits the cooler air and falls as
snow. In these pictures, we had just a light dusting of around 12
inches. It was also driven by the wind leaving some places with hardly
any and others with very deep snow drifts.
