Winter Pictures

Looking out toward the Conneaut Lighthouse on Lake Erie.

No.... It is not a nice white sand tropical beach, it's snow and as you can see from the color of the sky, there is plenty more on the way. Mary Jo had to go back to the car as I wandered around to take these pictures, the wind was so cold.

Here, we get what is called "Lake Effect Snow" The warmer water of the lake evaporates, then as the moister moves inland it hits the cooler air and falls as snow. In these pictures, we had just a light dusting of around 12 inches. It was also driven by the wind leaving some places with hardly any and others with very deep snow drifts.
