Lake Erie Information

Lake Erie is the smallest of the Great Lakes measuring 241 miles (387.8 k) East/West and 57 miles (91.7 k) North/South, with 871 miles (1401.7 k) of shoreline. The average depth of Lake Erie is only about 62 feet (18.8 m) with 210 feet (64 m) maximum depth. It therefore warms rapidly in the spring and summer and frequently freezes over in winter.
