The Wheatsheaf Inn at Raby
Commonly known as "The Thatch" There has been a pub/Inn on
this site for many hundreds of years. The present Wheatsheaf has been
there since the 1700's

| Another view of the Wheatsheaf. This picture gives a better idea of
how small the place really is. Don't be fooled though, there is a restaurant
built on to it. |

Inside the Weatsheaf
The Village of Raby is very small... The Village green (well,
that's really only small a field) a few houses a farm or two and
that's it so how this little pub gets so packed (with England's strict
drink driving law's) is beyond me :)
They sell a good variety of "real" draught
ale's (Bitter) and a good selection of Continental Lager's. Also the home
made food is excellent.
